Lord Krishna's Cuisine

Lord Krishna's Cuisine - The Art of Indian Vegetarian Cooking - by Yamuna Devi
©1987 Bala Books, Inc
ISBN 0-89647-020-2

About the Book
This award-winning cookbook is the ultimate encyclopaedia of India's culinary tradition. The Chicago Tribune called it 'the Taj Mahal of cookbooks'.

About the Author
In 1967, the author became a disciple of Srila Prabhupada, which is how Joan Campanella became Yamuna Devi. Off and on over the next eight years, she was fortunate enough to serve as his personal cook. During this period, she travelled the length and breadth of India, an invaluable opportunity to study in depth the country's varied regional cuisines.

For more than 30 years, Yamuna Devi has been both a devout vegetarian and an eloquent advocate of India's vegetarian ideal. Her studies included many years touring the Indian subcontinent, tracing the culinary tradition at its roots and learning the art from India's master chefs.
